Mediation Services
Mediation can be described as facilitated communications for what you perceive to be your fairest and most constructive agreement possible. There are important principles that are a part of every mediation. Mediation is completely voluntary. If either mediating client chooses to leave the process at any time they can. Mediation is facilitated in a way that is collaborative. Mediating clients work together on each of their shared problems, resolving their conflict through effective communication and with their perceived fairest and most constructive agreement in mind.
I have an equal responsibility to each mediating client and do not favor or advocate the interests of any one client over another. Each mediating client is assisted to be informed and feel confident and comfortable in their agreement-reaching discussions. Mediated agreements are constructed to be individualized, customized, fair and creative, which can enhance feelings of satisfaction, confidence and lasting compliance with the formulated agreement.
There are many procedural steps, required documents and required areas of discussion that are necessary to get a divorce. Navigation through these processes will be provided in a way that best fits each individual clients' needs. For example, while some clients feel confident understanding and completing certain tasks and paperwork outside of the mediation session, others feel most confident with more of a step by step processes with active involvement of the mediator. Careful consideration and ongoing planning occurs between us around all aspects of the mediation process.
